Inca Trail Marathon Description 🏃
Experienced runners, especially racers, designed this Inca Outdoor Activity "Inca Trail marathon." All runners will finish at Machu Picchu in this race!
You can add your name to this elite list of Inca Trail Marathon runners and become a true Chasqui!
The Inca Trail Marathon is the perfect challenge on your sports trip to Machu Picchu. A Cusqueñean person from Cusco, Roman Tinta, 1997 completed it in 3 hours and 34 min. If you're fit and properly acclimatized, 6 or 8 hours is the right time for people who want to run the whole Inca Trail.
Inca Time runners
The great Inca Empire in Latin America communicated with all its citizens through a network of long-distance runners. These corridors traveled by road hard surface of stone or earth elements and geographical context. The messenger runner was called "the Chasqui." The communication of the Inca Empire in Peru was totally entrusted to a group of specialized brokers. The messengers of the Inca runners were between 18 and 20 and were specially trained to cover large parts of the empire. Their movement had encrypted knots in fabrics, parcels, and items of magic or divine origin messages. These corridors were the main reason the Inca government was successful in its decisions.
